Nicole Wright has been promoted from Recruiting Assistant to Recruiter. Wright joined TAPS earlier this year. She is responsible for talent searches, interviews and reviews of job candidates for TAPS Public Transit and its related companies. She will report to Leah Campbell, Director of Organizational Development.
“In the past few months TAPS has put a new emphasis on hiring,” said Leah Campbell. “We have reorganized the process for finding, vetting, and hiring employees. It is a very thorough approach to identifying candidates for each position that have the potential to perform at a high level, and to advance themselves. Nicole has demonstrated great talent for recruiting and brings a real enthusiasm to the job.”
Organizational Development is a new department at TAPS. It encompasses recruiting, hiring, onboarding and ongoing training and development. A new position has been created to support the new department.
Jamie Pine will fill the newly-created position of Training Assistant. In his role he will assist the department director and managers in administrative duties. Pine began his TAPS career December 2012 in shop maintenance. He was promoted last year to Parts Clerk in the Facilities and Fleet Maintenance department.
Leah Campbell said Pine is a good choice for the assistant role. “Jamie is a get-it-done employee who easily accepts responsibility. We are looking forward to having him on the team.”
