Updates are posted within an hour after the operations team confirms a system alert. If a particular route is down for scheduled maintenance, that will be indicated with a advance notice on the Service Alert page on this website.
Posting service alerts is a new way of helping riders keep in touch with how the system is running. However, there is a lag time and the alert system, in this first stage, is not dynamic.
