Kristen Hill Assumes Role as Compliance Officer

Kristen Hill has been named Compliance Officer in the Risk Management department at TAPS Public Transit. The appointment was announced today by Zak Kerfai, the department’s director.

Hill, is a graduate of Texas A&M University where she earned a BA in International Studies. She also recently completed a Paralegal Certificate Program from George Mason University.

Risk Management is a relatively new function for TAPS. As the transportation agency grows, oversight of internal and external programs has become essential. As a Compliance Officer, Hill actively works with outside contractors to assure that the agency’s standards are being met. She will also oversee the agency’s contracts and inter local agreements.

Growing up in a military family meant extensive travel overseas. Hill has traveled to 34 countries and speaks multiple languages. One of her first jobs was at the American Embassy in Oman where she held a secret security clearance.
