Public Transportation Available in the City of McKinney

Effective November 24, 2014; TAPS Public Transit will offer updated and expanded route service in the City of McKinney. Changes include 5 more routes and over 77 stops linking riders from one side of the city to the other.

TAPS provides three types of public transportation for the City of McKinney.

  • Regular intercity bus service with designated stops and departure times on two routes: 100 Blue and 300 Red. Route 200 is not currently active. These routes run Monday-Friday, 6:00am to 6:00pm.
  • On-demand, curb-to-curb, transportation scheduled by appointment. TAPS on-demand service runs Monday-Friday with the earliest available pickup time at 6:00am and the latest available pickup time at 5:30pm. TAPS does not provide service in Collin County on Saturday or Sunday.
  • The City of McKinney Commuter Connect offers service from the TAPS Gateway Blvd. Park & Ride to DART’s Parker Road Station in Plano where connections can be made for buses and light rail.
