Cathy Perkins has been named Human Resources Manager for TAPS Public Transit. She brings to the position more than 25 years of experience in employee services and related fields.
Perkins is responsible for making sure each employee comes into the agency with all of the knowledge and resources available. Her duties encompass on-boarding, new hire orientation, employee relations, training and certifications, and guidance of company policy regarding equal employment opportunities, compensation and benefits.
Leah Campbell, Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development at TAPS said the human resources manager is critical to the growth and well-being of the workforce. “Employees can’t reach their potential without all the tools available to them, and that includes things like resolving work-related issues, understanding and using benefits and making the most of continuing education.”
Perkins said she is excited about joining the agency during its current growth cycle. “This is a great time to be at TAPS. This is an agency that believes in investing in people and giving them what they need to get the job done.”
Campbell also announced that Jennifer Lovett has been named Human Resources Assistant and will work directly with Perkins.
